Guest editors at SciELO and gave their option on the relationship between art and science and why they should engage in dialogue: Art and science are very similar, they both appeal to the same desire to experiment though curiosity and creativity. They are made though their context and submerse in society and todays culture and they both act from the worlds perspectives but with different goals and different means. Artistic efforts and scientific efforts are two facets of human action and thought – complementary yet fraught with tensions and variances. From this relation something new may be born and may spring, mutual enhancements, and humanistic affirmation.
