Hello, I'm Elizabeth and i'm from south wales and currently living in Falmouth, Where I'm studing Fine Art. 

 

My practice is often influenced from personal events in my life. They are often realting to loved ones or previous relationships. 

 

In my practice I'am currently working with the material of my grandparents. When they passed away i inherited slides, photographes and film. The materisl is very personal. There are also other objects like perfume bottles 'Chanel No.5', my grandmothers ingadment ring and jewlery boxes. 

 

The purfume bottle is a very important in my practice because of what it contains. THE SMELL> HER SMELL. Everyone has a smell and when i smell chanel No.5 purfume, I remember her. 

 

As a human being the main sensors are Smell, Touch, Taste and sight. 

 

So for my work i am trying to almost re- create Them though smell, touch and sight. 

 

The smell is useing the Black and gold form the chanel bottle. Which is and analogy for the smell of chanel. 

 

The touch is useing silk to re-create my grandmothers wedding dress. I want to make the dress in black silk and gold ink screen printed imagery (printed on). The black and gold will relate to the purfume bottle but also the black dress relates to funeral and death. 

 

And the sight, is the found photography, film and slides. The imagery is photographes which my grandfather took. He used to take photographes for the police and death sences.
